Vectrex

In Santa Monica, CA, there was another prop house called Vectrex (not the game company) which rented out large sections of the SAGE computer for productions. Vectrex apparently owned at least 2 DMCs and a SMC, as evidenced by Earth II. Other appearences of their equipment include Battlestar Galactica, Westworld and Snowball Express.

Information on Vectrex is hard to track down, but it may have started as "The Maxwell Smith Company", which provided a DMC and SMC for The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. Maxwell Smith was an engineer and advisor for shows such as Science Fiction Theater and Gog.

Vectrex went out of business some time in the 1980s, and sold off many of their props. Some of the equipment which went unsold was rescued by individuals and stored. One such piece of equipment is a section from the Duplex Maintenance Console, portions of which are seen here. The owner (who wishes to remain anonymous) was forced to temporarily remove the panels from the console frame, but intends to restore the console to its blinkenlights condition. He also has the front panel and CRT from a display scope.
