This is a replica of the Burroughs/Electrodata B205 control console, as seen in many Sci-Fi movies and TV shows. It is comprised of a fiberglass cabinet, with a wood base and acrylic front and rear panels. A thicker acrylic plate is attached to the bottom.
The front panel controls are all fakes, except for the three toggle switches. The PO SUPPRESS toggle turns on the flashing incandescant light display. The pushbuttons are all molded and non-functional. I'm told that the pushbutton switches are still available at various electronics dealers, should you wish to upgrade the unit. The dials appear to be from actual equipment, but are not correct for the B205 and are fastened to the panel by screws.
Inside the cabinet, a Nemco Controls 3P4 Chase Controller animates the lights. The speed is adjustable.
This unit was purchased at auction from the estate of the late Stewart Berkowitz. It is unknown who built the unit, or if it were used for anything except a display piece.
